Estelle Brown
  Estelle Browne is a printmaker who transforms the mundane into the monumental. Through drawing Estelle Browne communicates the unique way she sees ordinary everyday items. Using a low vantage point and dramatic lighting as a starting point her drawings seek to create sculptural form and a sense of the iconic. For Estelle Browne drawing is integral to her practice she says of the drawing process; “I am interested in making evident the processes of drawing: the marks made are as important as the subject, acting as proof and reminder of the artist's hand and presence.”  Through printmaking Estelle Browne has enlarged her drawings so that a regular size cheese grater becomes a metre high.
